okay here is the scoop... went off unemployment after being laid off from Lazboy... the store owner sold the store ...and then I got my divorce from my cheating husband, remarried the man sent to me from the Lord and then got a job selling furniture they were mean to me and wouldn't even put me on the training system until I was there for almost 3 months after they hired the guy doing payroll's nephew they put me on. Why? As one of the other sales reps told me they were jealous because I was a good seller so in some sales floors they bully you off the floor so you leave... I did . I just left and quit. Never quit a job before and so this must have been a place I hated working for. I actually left when I realized the owner wasn't supportive and was mean to me so I thought no point in riding this dead horse. It is not uncommon to have people getting pushed off a sales floor but usually the owner or manager will just laugh and let people fight it out and say well guys sell more. Welcome to the world of sales. It's all about perception at times and who thinks what... How seasoned owners are and managers etc.. Many great sales people usually get fired...Haven't been there yet... sounds confusing I know...but you who are seasoned sales professionals know how this all rolls... sooo.... I jumped out of the game and I am now packing Apples!
Why not? Same hours as my husband, more money, and FUN and NO STRESS or bullying... I love it... AND I GET THE WHOLE SUMMER OFF...
not completely out of the game guys have my PR biz and sell mary kay http://www.MaryKay.com/RuthiePople but we keep the motto God first, family second , and business third. I guess I kept that motto in the other job.
So why share all this? Just as a mom and so many of you work...if you are unhappy at your job... go work at McDonalds, go work at something fun for awhile... You may find you actually are making much more money and have time for other things you love too :)
